Come see us, you won’t forget it. From the rambunctious greeting by one or more of our dogs to the quality of the plant material, an onsite visit will be a lasting memory. As you tour in the 4 passenger golf cart with Godiva, the Chocolate Lab, riding shotgun, try to identify the wildlife foot prints or watch hummingbirds as they feast off of the colorful Lois Adams Desert Willows™. We like to bring smiles to your face while taking care of the more serious side of your visit. We want you to leave not only impressed with our trees, but also happy you took the time.
We’ve grown trees in a small farming community northwest of Tucson since 1976. It is here we first grew the Heritage Live Oak™, that is now an invaluable part of the desert plant palette. In 1981 we moved to our current 88-acre location where we grow a wide range of desert and desert adapted trees from 15 gallon to 48" box. Larger Heritage Live Oaks™.
With the success of the Heritage Live Oak™ and its adaptability to desert landscapes, we realized that oaks from the desert and for the desert would be an important contribution. For beautiful fall color, we have introduced the Redrock Oak™, native to the caliche hills around San Antonio. We have experimented with several oaks native to the Sonoran Desert and have had good success with the Emory Oak and Shrub Live Oak, which both fills a niche in desert landscapes.
We are very proud of the newest addition to our exclusive plant list - the Lois Adams Desert Willow™. Originally selected for its beautiful flower color, these have proven to have extremely low to no seed pod production. This is a distinct benefit, since the long, narrow pods cling to the tree during the winter giving it an unkempt appearance and producing abundant seeds which easily sprout throughout a garden.
We take growing trees very seriously; it’s what we do and we love it. We have a well-established reputation for our commitment not only to growing the highest quality trees, but providing professional advice, photos and information to help through all phases of a project.
